What can you expect during a treatment?
On our first meeting we will complete a comprehensive and confidential medical questionnaire, which you’ll be asked to sign and then your first treatment will take place. This session will last approximately 1hr 30 mins.
All subsequent treatments will last approximately 60 mins and will be tailored to your needs.
You will need to remove your shoes and socks and will be asked to recline on my La Fuma chair. Dress in warm, comfortable clothing. Your feet will be wiped over and worked on individually. The pressure applied to your feet by my thumbs and fingers during the treatment will be firm but should not hurt and you should find the experience very relaxing. Some clients even fall asleep!
What happens after a treatment?
I may give you aftercare advice and ask you to drink lots of water for the rest of the day to flush toxins from your system. You may feel invigorated or even sleepy after a treatment, everyone is different and I will explain any possible side effects to you.
A course of regular treatments of around 5-10 sessions is normally recommended depending on your specific needs. Possibly followed by less frequent sessions if needed.
As a Reflexologist I do not claim to be able diagnose or to cure any medical condition or illnesses. Reflexology can work well alongside traditional medicine but should not replace it.
Please note I cannot treat you if you suffer from DVTs (Deep Vein Thrombosis), Phlebitis or Blood Clots due to the strong effect Reflexology has on the circulatory systems.
